How Many Concierge/Direct Care Physicians “Text” Their Patients?

JANUARY 2, 2013 — According to a 4-year poll conducted by The Concierge Medicine Research Collective from December 2008 thru December 2012, concierge care and cash-only physicians do a tremendous job of communicating via SMS and MMS text to patient cell phones. Here are the results:

  • 12.5% — I text my patients 1-10% of the time.
  • 18.75% — I text my patients 11-25% of the time.
  • 12.5% — I will text my patients 26-50% of the time.
  • 25% — I will text my patients 51-75% of the time.
  • 25% — I will text my patients 76-99% of the time.
  • Other: 6.25%
