PartnerMD plans first S.C. office

Staff Report | Published Jan. 3, 2013 — PartnerMD, a concierge medical practice focusing on prevention care, plans to open a practice in Greenville Monday.

The practice, at 12 Maple Tree Court, Suite 103, will be the Richmond, Va.-based company’s first location outside of Virginia.

In the coming years, PartnerMD plans to expand its presence in northern Virginia, Maryland and the Carolinas.

PartnerMD focuses on prevention and whole-person care. Members receive 24/7 access to a PartnerMD physician, a personalized personal health portfolio detailing results of their annual physical and other amenities, according to a news release.

“We have extensively researched Greenville, and we are excited about opening a practice there,” PartnerMD CEO and founder Linda Nash said in a news release. “Greenville is a vibrant city with a great mix of families, professionals and corporate headquarters. We plan to branch out to other nearby cities in the future.”

Family practice physician Dr. Jack C. Durham Jr. will help launch the Greenville office as the practice’s first provider. Durham has been in family practice in Greenville for more than 30 years.

“I’m looking forward to practicing medicine how we should be practicing medicine,” Durham said in a news release. “More time with the patient means we have the resources to prevent diseases, not simply treat them. This will make all the difference in their future health.”

Founded in 2003, PartnerMD currently serves more than 4,600 members in Richmond, Midlothian, McLean and Lansdowne, Va.
