Florida Retirement Community Launches “My Care Clinic” Concierge Program


JULY 5, 2013 – My Care Clinic, a personalized-medical concierge program, has opened at The Carlisle Naples to address residents’ medical needs.

With a staff including a physician assistant, nurse, on-call physician and emergency medical service personnel, My Care Clinic is designed to offer urgent, primary and wellness care 24/7.

Under the supervision and management by Patricia L. Halloran, RN, My Care Clinic was conceptualized to answer a need expressed by residents including Halloran’s mother, Rita, who is a Carlisle resident.

“Whenever residents learned I was a nurse, inevitably they were seeking advice,” she said. “Whether it was about what doctors to use or if their symptoms required a doctor’s visit, they really wanted someone who had the expertise and time to spend helping them with their medical concerns and questions.”

Halloran has been a nurse for 40 years and spent over three decades in nursing and nursing management devoted to patient care.

“We recognize the tremendous inconvenience many seniors encounter scheduling their appointments, driving to and from appointments and sitting in doctor’s offices,” said Halloran. “Bringing medical services to residents from within the community is much more efficient and should improve the patient/doctor relationship and quality of care. Many times they need reassurance and have questions that go unanswered in the environment of a doctors’ office.”

The My Care Clinic staff coordinates any onsite care including same day appointments and a 24-hour call center. The majority of lab work can be handled from the Clinic. Referrals to specialists and emergency services are provided, if required. The staff facilitates all arrangements which include everything from house calls to transferring web-based medical records.

Residents may opt to become a My Care Clinic member and pay a nominal monthly out of pocket fee.

The Carlisle Naples is the first community to offer My Care Clinic services and residents have quickly embraced the convenience and quality of the services.
