JUNE 11, 2014 – The Fitzmaurice Hand Institute recognizes that healthcare can be complicated, confusing and expensive. That’s why we are working hard to establish a cash pricing model to make our services more accessible to patients with out-of-network insurance, high deductibles, or without insurance altogether. We are able to offer these prices due to the absence of risk for non-payment for services and the lack of expense associated with processing insurance claims. Pricing options may vary, based upon specific procedures and selected payment methods. A patient financial counselor at our office in Phoenix can help you determine which options are best for you, and explain pricing details.

Dr. Fitzmaurice has created a revolutionary minimally invasive system that dramatically reduces the risks and recovery time associated with carpal tunnel surgery. With typical endoscopic surgeries, recovery takes around 20 days, but with the surgical system designed by Dr. Fitzmaurice, recovery takes less than a week. Not only that, but the pain associated with recovery is virtually erased. All of this is due to the patent-pending EndoView™ nerve release system designed by Dr. Fitzmaurice, with different variations used to treat a variety of specific conditions, including carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, tennis elbow, and more.

The particular EndoView™ system used for carpal tunnel syndrome is called the EndoNerve™ Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release. Unlike traditional endoscopic procedures, the EndoNerve™ Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release uses smaller instruments and increases visibility, allowing Dr. Fitzmaurice to see all of the structures as he is doing the procedure, including the nerve, tendon and ligament. The smaller instruments and improved visibility help to minimize injuries and decrease recovery time.

Most carpal tunnel surgeries involve incision and cutting through several layers of skin, muscle and fascia just to get down to the band of tissue that’s actually causing the problem. However with the EndoNerve™ Endoscopic Carpal Tunnel Release, the nerve is easily identified before dividing the thick tissue responsible for the compression, which significantly decreases any risk of injury to the nerve. In fact, there have been no injuries to date in all of the surgeries Dr. Fitzmaurice has  performed using this system.
