First Private Medicine Certification Announcement Expected at American Academy of Private Physicians (AAPP) Fall Summit in Miami

Indianapolis, Ind (August 18, 2014) – The first formal practice certification in private medicine will be announced by the American Academy of Private Physicians (AAPP) at the Fall Summit in Miami, Florida on October 10-11, 2014.

The AAPP will endorse standards of care and compliance credentialing. “This certification is first of its kind” according to AAPP president Matthew Priddy, M.D. “This process will enable private medicine and direct primary care physicians to certify their practice is compliant with both state and federal regulations.”

The AAPP will introduce the certification as a part of the educational agenda at their annual Fall Summit to be held at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel, October 10-11, 2014. The Fall Summit programming is designed to foster networking with industry-leading experts in the fields of medical-legal counseling, healthcare marketing, medical technology and new innovations, long-term business planning and practice formation.

Three new educational tracks have also been added to meet the needs of the membership in the ever-changing healthcare industry. These one-day tracks will focus on:

Physicians attending the Fall Summit will earn a minimum of 11.25 CME credits for their participation.
