Q: What if most of my patients are not interested in concierge medicine?
Many groups are not willing or able to transition to full concierge. “Hybrid” concierge models consist of two patient cohorts: a small number of concierge patients, and a larger number of traditional patients who elect to remain within the practice without paying a subscription fee. This model sustains larger panel sizes while providing more personalized services for those who pay for it. Groups can determine how to best allocate this additional revenue, but many “hybrid” groups cross-subsidize their traditionally-underfunded primary care services. As a result, all patients directly and indirectly receive the benefits of its “hybrid” concierge product.
