October 13, 2016 at 11:00 PM

FAIRFIELD, NJ – Nearly 200 people attended the recent grand-reopening event at Mecca Integrated Medical Center in Fairfield, NJ, where they enjoyed complimentary pain, acupuncture and aesthetic consultations, gratis mini facials and massages and chiropractic adjustments. They also participated in a Tricky Tray contest and received prizes and giveaways.

“We are deeply touched by the turnout of our grand reopening,” said Alyssa Carroll, event chair. “To the 175 plus guests that put their own schedules and commitments on hold to come out and celebrate with us—we thank you for your support.”

Guests dined on hors d’oeuvers provided by Two Men and an Appetite, while they mingled and toured the facility that is now three times larger than it was before.

“Cheers. Bravo. Great night,” said guest Maria Divins, who added, “beautiful party, delicious treats, amazing doctors and staff. Love the energy. Congratulations and blessings in the future of Mecca.”

“What a fabulous event and facility,” said Barbara Goldman of North Caldwell, a current patient with Dena Lacara, D.O, who co-owns the facility with her husband Michael Sapienza, DC. “I love working with Dr. Lacara—she is great. This is the best doctor-patient relationship I have ever had. So good in fact that my husband and two daughters also see her and take advantage of all Mecca has to offer.”

“I had such a great time at the event,” said Jennifer Bronsnick of Florham Park, who is working with Lacara on the nutraMetrix supplement line that is now offered at Mecca. They are designed to “promote optimal health and wellness,” according to the website.

Mecca didn’t move far—just next door into a larger space intended to be more relaxing and luxurious. The space now boasts seven additional state-of-the-art treatment rooms; a private Acupuncture wing for rest and relaxation; a designated wing for The Spa at Mecca; a full-size conference room for patient education; an in-house bloodwork lab; and brand new, spacious restrooms.

At the event, attendees learned that services at The Spa at Mecca include facials, massage, medical grade peels, Botox, fillers, Kybella, Lila Strawberry Inch Loss Laser, Laser Hair Removal, eyebrow shaping and a medically-supervised weight loss program. They also discovered that Mecca, which has a multidisciplinary practice specializing in the nonsurgical treatment of back, neck and extremity pain in a relaxing, spa-like atmosphere, specializing in the nonsurgical treatment of back, neck and extremity pain in a relaxing, spa-like atmosphere, also offers chiropractic care, physical therapy, acupuncture, spinal decompression and deep tissue laser therapy services.

“The doctor-patient relationship is the cornerstone of primary care, but it has become increasingly difficult to cultivate as doctors are pressured to see more patients in less time. I was lucky to be part of an amazing group practice, but I needed to follow my vision and create something new. I wanted to work with fewer patients but be available to them 24/7 via phone, email, text or Skype. I see this as an opportunity to build stronger relationships with my patients and help keep them healthy overall, instead of focusing only on treating a specific disease or problem." ~Dr. Dena Lacara

In addition, discovered that direct primary care is a concierge model of medicine offered at Continuum Care at Mecca by Lacara.

In addition to moving into its new space in 2016, Mecca also won “Best Physical Therapy” and “Best MedSpa” in Morris Essex Health/Life Magazine’s 2016 Reader’s Choice Awards; and is nominated for “Best PT,” “Best Chiropractor” and “Best MediSpa” in the Best of Essex 2016 Reader’s Choice Awards.
