Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper has signed three health-care bills into law over the past six days, including: House Bill 1175, sponsored by Republican Rep. Perry Buck of Windsor and Democratic Rep. JoAnn Ginal of Fort Collins, establishes parameters under which health-care providers can offer direct primary health-care agreements with patients that are not subject to regulation by the state because they replace insurance with a contract between doctors and customers. Colorado has more physicians offering direct care than any other state in the U.S., Buck said.
