An MDVIP and Cleveland HeartLab study finds that patients whose doctors ordered myeloperoxidase (MPO) inflammation testing as part of their annual wellness program achieved sharp reductions in MPO levels. Elevated MPO levels can signify an increased risk of heart attack or stroke, independent of cholesterol levels.
