SANTA MONICA, Calif., Nov. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Doctor Evidence announces the awarding of two honorary fellowships to Robert Battista, the CEO and co-founder, in recognition for his innovative work in healthcare. The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and the Royal Society for Public Health have conferred these honors on Mr. Battista following nominations from and voting by their respective memberships. He was elected to fellowship in recognition of his substantive contributions to the medical community and career commitment to the improvement of healthcare, particularly uniting otherwise disparate communities in the ecosystem to collaborate for better patient wellbeing.

The Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, incorporated by Royal Charter on 29th Day of November 1681, “brings together an international community of inspirational physicians who strive to ensure that patients receive the highest standards of care by providing lifelong education and training opportunities.”

The Royal Society for Public Health works “to develop and implement a wide range of policy and projects to educate and empower individuals, effect change and celebrate excellence.”

These honors recognize the important contributions Mr. Battista has made to the healthcare research community through the development of Doctor Evidence, its GROWTH (Guideline & Research Organizations Worldwide for Transparency & Harmonization) initiatives, and partnerships with organizations like the Institute for Health Metrics Evaluation (IHME). Doctor Evidence is a global technology company offering software, data and services to support medical and health research. The company’s goal is to support the efforts of healthcare providers, healthcare professionals, and patients to gain access to important evidence-based knowledge and to improve the health and wellbeing of patients worldwide.

“Five years ago, I was honored to be invited by Bob to help him develop a medical society and academic focused division of the company. This ambitious initiative became our GROWTH division, that supports our mission to broaden the sharing of resources and data globally across the entire spectrum of healthcare, with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes,” stated Sandra Zelman Lewis, PhD, Chief Guidelines Officer. “I have enjoyed partnering with a visionary like Bob in this important endeavor. These accolades that he is now receiving are well-deserved.”

“I am honored to get these recognitions though it is really the work that our company, Doctor Evidence & GROWTH, have done that has engendered these accolades,” said Bob Battista, CEO of Doctor Evidence. “Rarely does everyone associated with a company have an opportunity to use it as a form of personal expression. DRE is a magical place where someone can make an important difference in the lives of healthcare professionals representing our solutions. In this case, I am fortunate to be that ‘someone.'”
