RE: Prioritize Personalize and Prescribe EXercise (P3-EX) algorithm … an exercise prescription tool we developed that health care and exercise professionals can use to prescribe exercise to their patients.

About the Study/Background

Research volunteers are needed for a study conducted by Dr. Linda Pescatello, who is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of Connecticut, and Principal Investigator of our study. She and her research team from the University of Connecticut and colleagues from Hartford Hospital wish to obtain your professional opinions and impressions of an exercise prescription tool we developed that health care and exercise professionals can use to prescribe exercise to their patients.

  • The name of our tool is the Prioritize Personalize and Prescribe EXercise (P3-EX) algorithm. P3-EX is an evidence-based clinical decision support system for clinicians to use to prescribe exercise to their patients with cardiovascular disease risk factors in 5 minutes or less.

  • If you would like to participate and/or you are eligible for the study … if you have experience in recommending exercise to patients/clients, and/or you believe exercise is an effective therapeutic intervention for adults with cardiovascular disease risk factor(s).

If you agree to participate, you will be asked to answer questions about your occupation, professional training, and provide feedback on the P3-EX algorithm after using it with a case study that we will provide. The entire study will take about 15-20 minutes to complete. You will receive a link to claim a $10 Amazon gift card after completing the study.
