Dear Doctors, “Complaining Shouldn’t Be A Hobby.” (New Podcast)

By Editor-in-Chief, Concierge Medicine Today/Host, The DocPreneur Leadership Podcast

I absolutely love this recent post by J.Acuff on Facebook. He wrote “For some people, complaining is a hobby and if you actually fixed their problem, they’d be mad at you because you just took their hobby away.

That’s powerful.

And, I think there’s a lot healthcare can learn from this statement.

A LOT!

Yeah, healthcare is broken. But rather than blog about it, complain at conferences and grumble in meetings about how unhappy you are, it’s time for more Doctors to step-up and “wrench on it.”

Here’s three questions to consider that may help you “make the world of healthcare just a LITTLE bit better.”

Dear Doctors, “Complaining Shouldn’t Be A Hobby.” (New Podcast)

By Editor-in-Chief, Concierge Medicine Today/Host, The DocPreneur Leadership Podcast

When our Check Engine light comes on in our vehicles, we all usually do something about it pretty soon, right? Because we know if we don’t address it that it could lead to larger and more costly problems in the future.

The same could be true about your medical office staff.

But, the metaphorical “check engine” light has been on for months and as a Physician you don’t always feel equipped to mechanically as their business leader to fix it.

The good news, I bet if you just ask your team the right questions, they’ll probably give you a solution or two!

Yeah, healthcare is broken. But rather than blog about it, complain at conferences and grumble in meetings about how unhappy you are, it’s time for more Doctors to step-up and “wrench on it.”
