“A lot of people think they will write a book. Sure, they’ll even make an honest attempt for a few hours or a couple of weeks,” says Michael Tetreault, co-author and editor of The Doctor’s Guide to Concierge Medicine and Editor of the industry’s trade publication, Concierge Medicine Today. “The reality is however that writing a book takes time, intentional schedule management and creativity. Something our culture and current jobs or stations in life don’t always permit us to do.” #fordoctors #conciergemedicineforum #conciergemedicine #conciergemedicineconference #learning | Photo Credit/Source: Staff, Concierge Medicine Today | Healthcare Industry Trade Publication

As an author of several books, which I’ll be the first to say, a couple are great … and the first few I agree with the one star reviews as well.
In the world of book writing not everyone will finish.
A lot of people think they will write a book. Sure, they’ll even make an honest attempt for a few hours or a couple of weeks. The reality is however that writing a book takes time, intentional schedule management and creativity. Something our culture and current jobs or stations in life don’t always permit us to do.
I’m of the persuasion that ‘five words from my Doctor carry a lot of weight.’
Meaning, if you wrote a book about say … Diabetes or vegetables. I’d probably purchase a copy and read it.
Would your book about vegetables, gardening, Diabetes or fictional story make it to a best sellers rank? Maybe. But, most authors I know, very few have ever made those rankings yet they have written dozens of books and are some of my favorite authors.
I think Doctors should be authors. I also believe there is probably a question rolling around inside of your head that you have been thinking about for a while now.
Today I want to help unpack the advice from expert authors, best selling authors, Physician-Authors and help you discover what other authors did to get their book published and in the hands of their Patients or people they knew needed that book most.
It is not an easy thing to write a book. But, this introductory webinar may help illuminate the path before you. I don’t have all the answers by I have done the reps and want to share with you the seven “pro tips” other authors shared with me that I hope will get you started!
