AAMC (Association of American Medical Colleges) President and CEO David J. Skorton, MD, shared the following message with AAMC member medical schools, teaching hospitals, learners, and other members of the academic medicine community:
“Following the expansion of the AAMC Fee Assistance Program to include Electronic Residency Application Service® (ERAS®) residency applicants that I shared with you in November, I am pleased to announce that the AAMC is also establishing a new fee structure for the 2025 ERAS residency season. This important update builds on our commitment to supporting learners throughout their journey from premed to residency and beyond.
Under this new simplified structure, residency applicants will pay $11 per application for up to 30 applications and a $30 fee per application for 31 or more applications. This fee model restarts with any new specialty for those who choose to use the ERAS platform to apply to multiple specialties.
