Why CMF 2026 Is the One You Can’t Skip

Growth of concierge medicine and membership medicine among independent physicians. The keynote, the workshops, and why this year feels different.

The Concierge Medicine Forum returns to Atlanta this October 15-17, marking its 10th annual conference and coinciding with Concierge Medicine Today’s 20th year in publication. For a field that started as a niche experiment in relationship-driven care, over two decades of coverage and a decade of gathering its leaders in one room says something about how far this model has come.

CMF has never positioned itself as a cheerleading conference nor a place that claims it has all the answers. It exists to help physicians (and their team) move through the platform’s core framework: Learn, Build, Lead. This year’s schedule follows that arc of learning very carefully.

The Keynote: A Neuroscientist Who Studies Why We Don’t Do What We Know We Should

Friday’s keynote address, “The Hidden Neuroscience of Lasting Behavior Change,” comes from Kyra Bobinet, MD, MPH, a physician-scientist in applied behavioral neuroscience and founder of Fresh Tri. Dr. Bobinet’s work centers on what she calls the “know-do gap,” the space between what patients want for their health and what they actually do. She previously served as research director in the Stanford Behavior Design Lab and as Medical Director of Health and Wellness Innovation for Aetna, where she designed interventions for 30 million people. She is the bestselling author of Unstoppable Brain.

For physicians whose entire model depends on patient follow-through, this isn’t an abstract topic. It’s the mechanism behind whether a care plan actually works.

Two Paths on Day One

Thursday, October 15, offers preconference physicians a choice between two full-day workshops:

Foundations of Membership Medicine: 101 is built for anyone exploring the model for the first time, physicians, nurses, PAs, specialists, and administrators. Sessions cover what concierge medicine actually is and isn’t, how it differs from DPC and hybrid models, patient agreements, malpractice exposure, and what the data shows about why health systems are increasingly adopting membership-based approaches.

The Experience-Driven Practice Workshop is for teams already in the model who want to grow through reputation rather than marketing spend. Topics range from patient retention systems to AI’s role in how patients now discover physicians, plus deeper clinical sessions on women’s health, geriatric care, and personalized surveillance.

Friday and Saturday: The Main Stage

Friday and Saturday bring the Exhibit Hall online alongside general sessions and breakout tracks covering practice marketing, longevity and preventive care, AI in clinical workflow, succession and consolidation trends, and patient experience design. Saturday closes with a session the schedule bills as an unscripted look back: “Biggest Mistakes in 21 Years and How We Fixed Them,” followed by a closing address on practice valuation as a generation of concierge physicians approaches retirement.

Who’s in the Room

CMF brings together physicians and their spouses, nurses, PAs, practice administrators, and care teams, alongside concierge physicians who have already built thriving practices. The mix is intentional. Model clarity, the kind that comes from hearing directly from people running these practices day to day, is the stated reason the conference opens with orientation before a single formal session begins.

Registration

CMF 2026 runs October 15-17 at the Forsyth Conference Center in Atlanta, GA. Tickets are on sale now, and current pricing will not hold. Physicians and teams planning to attend should register before rates increase.
