I read this quote probably like you and must admit, automatically become a little reflective.

We all start the New Year as one of my old marketing professors used to say, ‘putting one pant leg into our jeans like everyone else’. In many ways the sentiment ‘hope springs eternal’ (author unknown) has so many possibilities for each of us at this time of year. As we look forward to the future of what healthcare is going to deliver or evolve into in 2024, we’re all in many ways, together in a small space we often call concierge medicine.

Every January, I am often reminded of the great Physicians, consultants, CEOs, entrepreneurs and open-minds [in healthcare entrepreneurship] that have helped shape the industry of concierge medicine into what it is today. I think it’s important we take a minute or two and just read some of their past insights, the emotions they may have had behind their sentiments and consider their statements. Then, plan with enthusiasm, caution and a greater dose of wisdom your activities in the new year by leaning into those emotions and thoughts from the past who’ve shared your path and mine at times, and left us their road maps to follow to [hopefully] a brighter future in healthcare delivery.

I know for me, my wife Kelly and my three kids, my parents, friends, etc,. that I do the work I do as a healthcare writer (often grammatically incorrect I might add) and communicator about concierge medicine because I want to leave healthcare better than how it found us. And, I’m a fan of anything and everyone that brings the Patient-Physician relationship closer to that end.

I’m proud of the work so many of you and so many from our past have done in the concierge medicine marketplace over the years. Let me just say, thank you!
