New CMT Decision Tool Suite goes live at the Concierge Medicine Forum, giving physicians, NPs, PAs, and care teams a sourced, interactive way to evaluate readiness, model practice economics, and estimate exit value, all in one place, all free
ATLANTA, GA — October 15, 2026 — Concierge Medicine Today (CMT), the industry’s independent trade publication since 2007, today launched its CMT Decision Tool Suite at the opening of the Concierge Medicine Forum (CMF), the industry’s annual conference, held October 15–17 at the Forsyth Conference Center in Atlanta. The suite is three free, interactive tools built to support physicians and healthcare professionals at every stage of a concierge or membership-based medicine career, from first considering a transition to eventually planning an exit.
CMT’s new suite of “Decision Tools” consists of the Career Readiness Assessment, the Model Clarity Calculator, and the Exit Value Calculator, each addressing a distinct decision point, and each cross-linked so a physician can move between them as their questions evolve.
CMT’s Career Readiness Assessment is a twenty-question, five-minute self-assessment covering mindset, business readiness, and marketing and leadership, producing a live, scored result and a Learn, Plan, or Launch designation rather than a pass-fail judgment.
CMT’s Model Clarity Calculator models panel size, retainer range, overhead, and recurring revenue across five concierge practice structures based on a physician’s role, panel, and local market, with figures sourced to Macbach’s 2026 Concierge Medicine Financial Benchmarks and the American Academy of Family Physicians, plus a dedicated section separating Direct Primary Care’s two distinct pathways, citing the American Medical Association’s documented drawbacks of the individual cash-pay path.
CMT’s Exit Value Calculator produces an illustrative valuation range using two standard methods, a revenue multiple and an EBITDA multiple, adjusted for the readiness factors buyers typically discount for. The tool cites Boston Consulting Group and Investopedia research indicating that 70 to 90 percent of business sales fail to deliver their expected value, with sellers often accepting 10 to 30 percent discounts tied to disorganized documentation or excessive owner dependency.
All three tools include a role selector for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and registered nurses or care team members, an approach CMT says was deliberate.
“Most resources in this space assume every reader is a solo MD,” said Michael Tetreault, Editor-in-Chief of Concierge Medicine Today, speaking from CMF. “That’s not who’s actually building these practices anymore. We wanted a suite that speaks honestly to the whole team, including where scope of practice genuinely differs by role and by state, rather than flattening that complexity to make the product simpler to build. Launching it here, in front of the people it’s built for, felt like the right way to do it.”
Each tool in the suite discloses its full source list, including the American Medical Association, Boston Consulting Group, Investopedia, the American Academy of Family Physicians, Macbach’s 2026 benchmarks, Sofer Advisors’ 2025-2026 valuation multiples guide, and named legal commentary from James Eischen (Eischen Law Office), Jonna D. Eimer (Roetzel & Andress), and Michele P. Madison (Bradley). CMT said all three tools will be updated as its own Annual Industry Report is finalized each year.
The full CMT Decision Tool Suite is available now, free of charge, at conciergemedicinetoday.net. Physicians who joined CMT’s early-access list ahead of today’s launch received notice of availability as the Forum opened; the tools are now open to the public.
